Becca Midwood is an artist based in Austin, Tx who started her career quite successfully in L.A. 

Her work has been featured on the cover of Juxtapoz Magazine and appeared in Nylon, Glue, the L.A. Times and many others. She is a "painter of haunting outdoor portraits, is getting a reputation as the 'female Basquiat'. She has a number of serious collectors of her work, and Hollywood types such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Balthazar Getty have reportedly purchased her paintings." (Salon)
